Rust server

Your Rust server with wipes scheduled from the panel, one-click Oxide/uMod plugins and hardware that handles 4500-size maps without stutter. AntiDDoS L3/L4/L7 included to survive the usual wipe-day attacks.

VanillaOxide/uModCarbon

Everything your Rust server includes

One-click Oxide/uMod and Carbon installation.

Scheduled automatic wipes (map, blueprints or both).

Map generator and custom map support.

Built-in RCON for live administration.

Hardware sized for 4000-4500 maps with heavy entity counts.

Automatic backups before every wipe.

How many resources does Rust need?

A guideline based on what you plan to run. If you're between two, take the larger one: upgrading later is instant and you only pay the difference.

What actually drives usage in Rust

In Rust what drives usage isn't connected players but map size and built entities. A 4500 map has more than double the terrain of a 3000 one, and every base built adds entities the server simulates each tick. That's why usage climbs through the wipe and drops sharply when you reset it.

Common Rust problems and how to fix them

1Runs fine after a wipe, worse as days pass

That's expected: entities accumulate. Schedule a daily restart to free memory and consider cleanup plugins that remove abandoned bases. If it still degrades, the map is too large for your plan.

2Oxide plugins break after an update

Rust updates on the first Thursday of each month and breaks compatibility. Wait for Oxide/uMod to publish their updated build before starting, and update plugins that rely on changed APIs.

3Players can't find the server in the in-game browser

Check port 28015 UDP is open and that `server.queryport` responds. If the server doesn't list but does accept direct IP connections, it's almost always the query port.

Rust frequently asked questions

How many slots do I need for a Rust server?

For playing with friends, 60 slots is plenty. A stable community server runs well on 100-150. Above 200 players you need dedicated hardware — look at our higher plans or a VPS.

Can I schedule wipes?

Yes. From the panel you set recurring wipes (weekly, biweekly or monthly), choosing whether to wipe just the map, blueprints too, or generate a fresh seed automatically.

Do you support Oxide/uMod plugins?

Yes, Oxide/uMod and Carbon install with one click. After that you can upload any plugin over FTP and configure it from the panel's file editor.

Does map size affect performance?

Quite a lot. A 4500 map with many bases uses far more RAM and CPU than a 3000 one. If you want a big map and a full server, take at least the 100-slot plan.
