The panel keeps a history of everything done with your account and your servers. You will find it in the menu under Account activity, or directly at my.electrumhosting.com/account/activity.
What is logged
At the top you can filter by category:
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Sign-in | Logins and logouts, failed attempts, password resets, two-factor turned on or off |
| Account | Account sign-up, changes to your details, email verified |
| Billing | Orders, invoices issued and paid, recorded payments |
| Services | Activations, suspensions and reactivations, cancellations, plan upgrades, cycle changes |
| VPS panel | Starts, shutdowns and restarts, VNC console, reinstalls, password or hostname changes, firewall or AntiDDoS changes |
| Support | Tickets opened and replies |
Each entry says what happened, the date and time, from which IP and, if it relates to a server, its service number.
If you see something you do not recognise
- A login that is not yours, or actions you did not take: change your password now, turn on two-factor and log out open sessions in Account → Security. Then open a ticket. More steps in securing your VPS and your account.
- The odd failed login attempt: usually someone trying random passwords. With a strong password and two-factor it goes no further. If there are many in a row, turn two-factor on as soon as possible.
Note: if you connect from your phone, your IP changes often, so an unfamiliar IP may simply be your mobile operator's.
