The whole process is automatic: from payment to a working server takes about a minute. Nobody builds it by hand and there is no waiting list.
1. Choose the location
We have servers in Madrid (Spain), Mainhausen (Germany) and Miami (USA). Choose by where your players are, not where you are: latency matters more than raw power. If unsure, measure the ping from your connection with our ping test.
- Spanish or southern European community: Madrid.
- Rest of Europe: Germany.
- The Americas, or a mixed Europe-Latin America audience: Miami.
2. Choose the plan
RAM is what matters most. If you do not know how much you need, the FiveM, Minecraft and Rust calculators estimate it from players and mods. If you are between two plans, take the bigger one: usage grows with the server, never the other way round. And if it ever falls short, you can upgrade without migrating anything.
3. Configure the order
On the plan page you choose:
- The operating system: Windows Server 2022 or a Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky). If you are not sure, see which system to choose. You can change it later by reinstalling, but the disk is wiped.
- The billing cycle: monthly, quarterly, every six months or yearly. Longer cycles are cheaper per month.
4. Create your account (or log in)
An account at my.electrumhosting.com is needed to complete the order. It asks for your name, email, phone, address and tax ID (they appear on your invoices). You do not need to confirm your email before paying: you can carry straight on.
5. Pay
With a card or PayPal the payment is instant and the server is created automatically. If you prefer a bank transfer, open a ticket before paying and we will send you the details; in that case you wait until we register the payment.
6. Get your access details
About a minute later you receive an email with the IP, username and password. They are always in the panel too, inside the service.
- No email? Check spam or promotions. That is what it is nearly every time.
- Got the email but the server does not respond yet? Give it 10-15 minutes: the notice goes out as soon as the machine exists, but the system (Windows above all) takes a little longer to finish its first boot.
From there: what to do in the first few minutes.
